The mission of the Macoupin County Probation Department is to provide meaningful probation services to all that require them. This includes acting as a liaison between court, community, agency and client. The focus of the department is to guide probationers toward a crime-free, work-oriented, stable, independent and successful future. This is achieved by referring clients to appropriate agencies, and keeping individual situations and special needs in mind while abiding by court orders.

Macoupin County Probation serves both adult and juvenile probationers.
