Macoupin County State's Attorney's Office

The State’s Attorney's Office is responsible for prosecuting criminal cases in Macoupin County and for representing the county in civil litigation.

The State’s Attorney's Office is located on the ground level of the Macoupin County Courthouse in Carlinville. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday by appointment.

The State’s Attorney's Office has nothing to do with small claims, evictions or civil cases where the county is not a party.
