Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, and ensuring all grant applications are submitted on time. The ideal candidate will have experience in grant writing, a deep understanding of nonprofits, and the ability to clearly convey the organization’s goals.


Job Responsibilities
• Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding sources.
• Write clear, persuasive, and well-organized grant proposals that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
• Collaborate with county staff and the county board to understand project details and needs for inclusion in proposals.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive grant calendar to track submission deadlines and follow-up activities.
• Submit grant proposals and all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Review and edit proposals for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with funder guidelines.
• Prepare reports and updates for funders on the progress and impact of funded projects.
• Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of submitted proposals and work on continuous improvements. • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail.
• Knowledge of grant processes, reporting requirements, and compliance standards.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Experience in grant research.
• Familiarity with online grant databases and research tools.
